PES 2009 News Downs W.E.N.B. Servers
I expected it to happen at some point, but not with the official press release of PES 2009! The last time a W.E.N.B. site went down apart from during upgrade time was during Leipzig last year, but the events of yesterday far surpassed that achievement. The server logged a rediculous number of people trying to reach it with data activity as high as 12 MBits/Sec!!!
As a result of the rush to W.E.N.B. at 11am (thanks Adam) the site crashed due to the high demand. There were some lucky people that managed to get through, but even their viewing experience was hampered by constant disconnections from our servers. We are currently back online and are working extremely hard behind the scenes to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
On a brighter note, we are planning to record a podcast tonight giving the teams thoughts and perspective on the images and press release. Stay tuned for a busy day at W.E.N.B.
Thanks for all the support lads,
Best Regards,
W.E.N.B. Team
