Online Issue, Tearing & More
Since the launch of PES 2008 earlier in the week the game has been plagued with issue galore. It makes Microsoft’s RED RING OF DEATH issues look trivial. Word from Konami is that they are addressing these issue as we speak. Word has even spread through the internet that the upcoming Playstation Firmware will address some of the slow-down problems. Unfortunately yours truly is a realist and will give you my own opinion on the current state of affairs with PES 2008.Optimizing servers so that they can perform better is Konami’s best bet/priority to combat this unacceptable lag that people are experiencing online. Unfortunately it does ruin your gaming experience which is why it is crucial that it be addressed ASAP. I am confident that work going on behind the scenes with the servers will improve the playing experience. Question is, how much?
With regards to the frame-rate problems, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Fortunately for 360 owners this problem isn’t as bad in-game. There is a possibility of a patch being released to address the problems, my concern is that most of these frame-rate issue have arisen from programming setbacks. Word on the street about some of the option files sorting out the frame-rate aren’t accurate.
You can rest assured that Konami will do all in their power to work on sorting out all of these problems. But we doubt that all issues will be completely eradicated. Soon as we have official word from Konami or concrete news we will holler at you guys!
Best Regards,
W.E.N.B. Team
