Goodbye Winning Eleven - Hello Pro Evolution Soccer

Introduction from me a new member before the news, my name is Ying and I’m the newest addition to the WENB team, you might have heard my name mentioned on the previous podcast. I’ve heard of this site since it’s infancy and when asked to be a part of it I was more than happy to jump on board! Hopefully you’ll be hearing a bit more from me in the future.

On with the main story, Konami has announced to IGN that the Winning Eleven franchise in America will now match it’s European counterpart, with the latest game now being called Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The unified name makes perfect sense, nobody wants to call their game “Winning Eleven, Eleven” and is sure less confusing than merging the two names into one. The names already in place in Europe will face no change.

Best regards,

Ying
