German Site Claims Playstation Exclusive? Don’t Think So!
Thanks to Tony Ziani. Rumours coming from Germany (PS3NEWS.de) today suggest that PES will return to being a Playstation exclusive. Suggestions are that the Winning Eleven production team are struggling to cope with multiplatform production and will revert to the old format of producing primarily for the Playstation family.
PS3NEWS.de: PES Will Again Become A Playstation Exclusive
“Furthermore, said the developers of PES Shingo “Seabass” Takatsuka that PES again in the future, an exclusive Sony titles will be. According to him, it would not have been easy “Pro Evolution 2008″ on several platforms of publishing and therefore was not a sophisticated game appeared. The developers want to take the time to get back to their beloved Playstation version error on the market, so should the successor until 2009 appears, or perhaps even later.”
Major speculation here and I would like to add my own personal opinion. Don’t believe a word of it. Multiplatform is a necessity these days for gaming companies to generate enough money to justify the cost of next-gen development. Furthermore, the sales that other platforms like the Xbox 360 provide are far too critical for Konami to go exclusive with PES. It seems this site may have misunderstood some of the comments made by SEABASS in Seville this year prior to the launch.
Best Regards,
W.E.N.B. Team
